12.1Green in summer, and vivid with it. Grindelwald is a ski resort the rest of the year.
12.2The road climbs and drops constantly, so the weather changes with it.

Made for going slowly.
Crossing the Swiss Alps was completely different from anything I had done before, and I rate it among the best roads I have ridden. For a tiny country there is an unreasonable number of routes worth taking.
It is a road for a traveller who wants to move at low speed and keep looking. You climb and drop constantly, so the weather and the landscape change with you: mountains, then dense forest, then green meadow, lakes, waterfalls and glaciers, with curious cows and their big bells watching from the verge.
What the road kept
Speed is the enemy of this one.
There is no reason to hurry through the Alps. The whole value of the road is that the view changes every few kilometres, and at speed you miss all of it.A ski resort, in summer.
The most memorable part was the roads through Grindelwald. In winter it is a ski resort; in summer it turns an almost unreal green. The area is a UNESCO World Heritage site, ringed by mountains and hanging glaciers.
And it is possible to camp in the middle of it, which is what I remember most.
